灰铸铁由于它的物理和化学性能特别,切割起来比较困难。通常用于切割灰铸铁零件的方法有氧熔剂气割、金属电弧切割和等离子弧切割法,但都有缺点。新的切割铸铁方法是应用药芯焊丝的电弧-气体切割。药芯焊丝的成分能使电弧稳定燃烧并在铸铁中形成一个薄薄的熔化层,从喷嘴喷出、沿焊丝周围流动的超音速气流,把熔化金属从切割区迅速排除,形成割口。
Gray cast iron due to its physical and chemical properties of special, more difficult to cut. Commonly used methods for cutting gray cast iron parts are oxygen flux gas cutting, metal arc cutting and plasma arc cutting, but both have drawbacks. The new method of cutting cast iron is arc-gas cutting using flux cored wire. The composition of the flux cored wire allows for stable combustion of the arc and formation of a thin molten layer in the cast iron. Sprayed from the nozzle, supersonic airflow flows around the wire to quickly remove the molten metal from the cutting area to form a cut.
