“孔学泰斗”匡亚明在《孔子评传》中高度评价了孔子和他的弟子们建立的具有民主平等精神的师生关系,说:“孔子和私学中的师生关系,是值得敬慕和学习的。如果说孔子在教学方法上体现了民主精神,在师生关系上则表现了平等精神。孔子对学生坦率真诚,学生对孔子敬爱尊重。在师生关系方面为后人树立了学习的榜样。”(《孔子评传》第316页)匡亚明先生的评价是极为准确的。民主与平等,是孔子言行的具体表现。孔子何以有此精神表现呢?从人格上分析,我认为要归结到孔子开阔的视野与博大的胸襟上来认识。
