广播电视大学创办十五年来,已取得了丰硕的成果.由于广播电视大学的确适合于我们的国情,各级党和政府比较重视,社会各个方面也比较支持,所以发展是很快的.目前,已经初步形成了从中央电大到地方电大乃至县一级电大组成的一个覆盖全国城乡的广播电视教育网络;初步组成了一支专、兼职相结合的教师队伍和职工队伍;初步制定了一套法规文件与制度.从全国来讲,已经初步地建成了一个具有中国特色的远距离教育系统,这个系统包括广播电视大学、电视师范学院和电视中专等学校,还包括已建成的一大批教育电视台和录放像网等.
