Inquiry-based learning refers to creating situations similar to academic research in teaching, guiding students to discover problems independently, solving problems and cultivating students’ practical abilities. This method emphasizes active participation of students and is a very positive learning process . Now, this learning method is being actively applied in all stages of our country’s teaching and learning education, especially in high school education. It is even more necessary for this learning method to be a catalyst for students to understand and digest their knowledge efficiently. This article makes a simple analysis of the existing problems in inquiry learning in high school mathematics teaching and probes into the application of inquiry learning in high school mathematics teaching and puts forward some constructive suggestions.
