桂林市桥头小学创建于1950年,学校绿化面积达60%以上。十多年来,学校致力于创建生态绿色学校,进行生态文明教育,确定了“为孩子的绿色人生奠基”的办学理念。从“绿色环境”“绿色教学”“绿色活动”等方面进行探索,打造学校亮点、彰显教育特色,取得了显著的成绩,成为了当地绿色教育的一个品牌和一面旗帜。2006年学校被评为桂林市“绿色学校”;2014年被评为广西壮族自治区“绿色学校”;
