含混是话语蕴藉的典范形态之一,含混从语用上来说是具有多义性、歧义性的特征。即含有两种或两种以上的意义。这就会导致对语义理解的不确定性和模棱两可性。用含混的理论来解读《董小姐》所使用修辞的话语的表现形式以及人们对这一话语的接受和理解各有其观点和理由。巴纳姆效应和流行语言体系的建构也促成这首歌的流行以及现在媒体的广泛宣对人们接受信息的影响。
