赫章铅锌矿为露天矿山,面积约1.3平方公里,整个矿区地质环境中含铅1.24-3.18％,锌2.57-6.64％,镉263ppm,是一个富镉的自然环境。居住在矿山周围农民的耕地约有70％是铅锌矿床的表层土壤。当地农民全部从事农业生产。1981～1983年我们对该矿环境中镉对人群健康影响进行了调查。
Hezhang lead-zinc mine is an open pit mine with an area of about 1.3 km2. The geological environment of the mining area contains 1.24-3.18% lead, 2.57-6.64% zinc and 263ppm cadmium. It is a cadmium-rich natural environment. About 70% of the arable land of farmers living in the vicinity of mines is the topsoil of lead-zinc deposits. Local farmers are all engaged in agricultural production. From 1981 to 1983, we investigated the health effects of cadmium on the mine environment.
