历史街区是苏州这座历史文化名城的重要骨架,传递着古城发展过程中的历史信息,反映出古城的特色风貌,历史街区作为苏州古城保护的重要组成部分,经过自2002年以来十余年的保护更新,已逐步成为吴文化的展示窗口和苏式生活的体验地,是古城苏州城市发展的独特资源和文化旅游的特色名片。根据《苏州市城市总体规划2007-2020》,苏州市区共有平江、拙政园、怡园、阊门、山塘街5个历史文化街区,总面积为322.93公顷
The historical district is an important skeleton of this historical and cultural city in Suzhou. It conveys the historical information in the development of the ancient city and reflects the unique features of the ancient city. As an important part of the protection of the ancient city of Suzhou, the historic district has been under the protection of more than ten years since 2002 Protection and renewal has gradually become the display window of Wu culture and experience of Soviet life. According to Suzhou Urban Master Plan 2007-2020, there are 5 historical and cultural blocks in Pingjiang, Humble Administrator’s Garden, Yiyuan, Qimen and Shantang Street in Suzhou with a total area of 322.93 hectares
