In December 2013, the General Office of the CPC Central Committee and the General Office of the State Council printed the Opinions on Party Cadres Taking the Lead in Promoting the Reform of Funeral and Interment, and made explicit demands on Party members and cadres under the new situation of deepening the reform of funeral and interment. In March 2014, the General Office of the Provincial Party Committee and the General Office of the Provincial Government issued the Opinions on Implementing the Funeral and Interment as the Leading Cadre of Party Members to clarify the responsibilities and obligations that party members and cadres should play in promoting funeral and interment reform. As party members and cadres, they conscientiously fulfill the responsibilities and obligations of party members. By taking the lead in promoting the reform of funeral and interment, it is beneficial to safeguarding the vital interests of the people
