　　北京经济技术开发区内的三资企业，单个平均投资额达1049万美元，是全国平均数的三倍。开发区管委会透露，开发区正在开展一倍以上的“扩区”——以一期15．8平方公里为基础，“扩张”24平方公里。“扩区”规划16日已获国务院批准。
　　 Beijing: Enterprises in the Beijing ETDZ each have a capital investment that averagesUSS 10.49 million, three times the figure for their counterparts across China. According tothe Administrative Committee of the Beijing ETDZ, the ETDZ will be expanded from 15.8to 24 square kilometers through the first phase of its development. The State Council, China‘scentral government, has approved the plan for expansion.

　　Shanghai: The Jiali Distribution Network Company Ltd. under the Jiali International Groupand the Shanghai Caohejing Development Zone have jointly established the Shanghai Jiali-Caohejing Distribution Company. 　　武汉开发区今年已启动六大骨干项目：一是东风汽车集团总部搬迁项目；二是神龙公司增资10亿元改造项目；三是电动汽车项目，国家科委和计委已确定该区为电动汽车研发基地，首产5万辆电动轿车、客车；四是万通汽车公司与日产新合资项目，下半年将推出新车型；五是恒冠EMC显示器项目，今年生产200万台，销售额可望达20亿元；六是晨鸣新厂新闻纸项目，目前已投产，年内可望新增销售收入7．5亿元。
　　Wuhan: The Wuhan ETDZ has set for itself the target of developing into a "workshop devoted toproducing famous brand products". To this end, it has launched six major projects so far this year. These are:1. Relocation of the headquarters of Dongfeng Auto Group; 2. Technological renovation of the ShenlongCompany that involves 1 billion yuan (USS 120 million) in capital input; 3. Under a joint decision of the StateScience and Technology Commission and the State Development Planning Commission, the Wuhan ETDZis to develop into a R&D center for electric vehicles. Production of 50,000 electric cars and buses is expectedfor the initial phase of the work. 4. A joint venture project between the Wantong Auto Company and Nissanof Japan to produce cars of a new model; 5. A project to produce Hengguan EMC displays will be launchedto produce 2 million units a year and generate 2 billion yuan (US$240 million) in annual sales revenue. 6.The New Chenming Plant has launched a project to produce newsprint. The project has been put intooperation and a sales income of 750 million yuan (US$93 million) is expected for this year.

　　 Jiangsu: The president of Japan‘s Sattoro Hop Co. paid a special visit to Jiangsu Dafuhao Beer Company Ltd. of late,for talks on bilateral cooperation. Both sides agreed to establish the Dafuhao Beer Park in Tongzhou Economic andTechnological Development Zone (Tongzhou ETDZ for short). According to the agreement, 300 mu (20 hectares) of landwill be bought for the park, and the capital input will total USS 15 million. Yi Xin, President and General Manager of theDafuhao Beer Company Ltd., said that in six consecutive years, his company has been the leading beer producer in JiangsuProvince, east China.

　　 Liaoning: The Tiexi New Area, which operates under the Tiexi District Government of Shenyang City and theShenyang Economic and Technological Development Zone, has put forward a range of projects to attract investment. Atan investment invitation meeting on August 2, the Tiexi New Area decided to transfer nine pieces of land for use byinvestment projects. Under an overall planning, the Tiexi New Area will complete the shift in five to eight years fromtraditional industries to manufacture of industrial equipment in complete sets, so that it will eventually become a majormanufacturing base in northeast China.

　　近日，国家农业部正式复函湖北省人民政府，同意在武汉东西湖区设立武汉食品工业加工区。据悉，这是国内首家获准成立的国家级食品加工区。
　　 Hubei: In a formal answer to a letter from the Hubei Provincial Government, the Ministry of Agricultureendorses plans of the province to develop a food processing park in the East and West Lake area in Wuhan,the province‘s capital city. This will be the first of its kind that has won approval for establishment from thecentral authorities.

　　为树立对外开放新形象，充分体现区域优势，减轻纳税人经济负担，昆明经济技术开发区近日开始施行税务“零收费”。此次涉及的收费项目主要有十一个：其中国税六个、地税五个，按照条块划分的原则，由两个系统上级行政主管机关要求收费的，在费用对外取消后，资金由开发区财政统一替纳税人承担；原由开发区管委会收费的项目全部取消。
　　Kunming: The Kunming ETDZ has revoked all the tax-related administrative fees. The "zero fee" policy willreduce the financial burden of the taxpayers in the zone.

　　杭州经济技术开发区确定今年经济奋斗目标；完成工业总产值185亿元、财政收入8．6亿元、出口总值25亿美元，努力把杭州开发区建设成为在全国对投资者最有吸引力的开发区之一。
　　Hangzhou: Here are some of the 2002 economic targets the Hangzhou ETDZ has set for itself: 18.5 billion yuan(US$2.2 billion) for industrial output value; 860 million yuan (USS 103 million) for government revenue, and US$2.5billion in value of exports.

　　西班牙迈斯顿集团与香港华鲁丰利企业拓展有限公司、山东恒大环保有限公司等企业合资设立的世界石材工业园落户青岛开发区。该项目总投资1500万美元，注册资本600万美元，主要从事天然石材及其配套产品的加工与销售，并提供相关的服务。
　　 Qingdao: A stone material industrial park has come into being at the Qingdao Development Area, ShandongProvince, east China. This is a joint venture with participation of Spanish, Hong Kong and Shangdong companies. Itinvolves a capital input of US$15 million and a registered capital of US$6 million.

　　服装、鞋革是温州经济技术开发区出口支柱产业。来自开发区海关的统计，今年1-7月温州开发区出口总值为7040万美元，同比增长33％，其中服装、鞋革出口4051万美元，占出口总值的58％。
　　Wenzhou: The Wenzhou ETDZ exported US$70.4 million worth of goods in the first seven months of this year,33% over the same period of 2001. Of this, US$40.51 million or 58% came from export of garments, shoes and leathergoods.

　　由烟台电子开发公司、中国海洋石油总公司、香港盛科国际控股公司三方联合兴办的“烟台中世天然气有限公司”，经批准正式落户烟台开发区。该项目一期投资2999．24万美元，注册资本1200万美元，主要从事输气管道及相应库站的建设经营，输配、销售天然气、液化石油气等。项目建成后，每年可向烟台市区供应l亿多方优质洁净天然气，将大大改善烟台地区的燃料供应结构，提高空气环境质量和居民生活水平。
　　Yantai: The Yantai Zhongshi Natural Gas Company Ltd., a joint venture company with participation of the ChinaNational Offshore Oil Corporation, a local company and a Hong Kong company, was launched of late in the Yantai ETDZ.The fwst phase of development for the project will involve an investment ofUS$29.99 million. The project‘s registered capitaltotals US$12 million. The company will undertake the construction of gas pipelines and storehouses. It will also sell naturalgas and liquefied petroleum gas. After completion, the project will supply a yearly 100 million cubic meters of high-qualitynatural gas to Yantai City, a tourist resort on the coast of the Bohai Sea now bent on improving its air quality.
