《沃尔特..米蒂的秘密生活》,自问世以来引起很大的反响,不同的读者对其有不同的理解。该文从女性主义的角度对《沃尔特.米蒂的秘密生活》进行分析,结合女性主义和女性主义的批评方法,该文通过分析故事中的女性形象米蒂夫人和米蒂的对话来展示出米蒂夫人的个性以及其在故事中的地位。同时从米蒂对其夫人的态度也展现出了生活在男权社会中的米蒂夫人在表面上占统治地位,虽然在生活中是丈夫的依靠,然而她却没有得到丈夫应有的温存,外表强悍的米蒂夫人内心是非常脆弱和孤独的。
