日本 Toyohashi 技术大学和神户钢有限公司联合研制了一种新型耐热钛合金(用钽替代1%Nb),它比普通钛合金的使用寿命提高了3~5倍。该种新合金的最高使用温度已超过600℃。钛合金重量轻,比强高,适用于重要飞机件材料,尤其这种高温合金特别适用于火箭发努机构件,例如,叶盘和叶片。IMI-829、IMI-834钛合金是 IMI 钛有限公司率先研制的。新合金具有极好的高温强度和蠕变性能,据说它的性能还不止如此。
