With the increasing exchanges between South Korea and China in all fields, the problem of Korean translation of Chinese names has begun to emerge. At present, the translation of Korean names is extremely irregular. This is mainly because there is a deep connection between Korean and Chinese. Over a thousand years ago, Korea had formed a unified national pronunciation of Chinese characters. Therefore, for a long period of time, the Chinese version of Korean translation mostly adopted the method of speech transcription. However, at present, the method of transliteration of famous names in Korea is mainly based on the pronunciation conversion method, and as a result, there are many translations of Chinese proper names that use the pronunciation conversion method. In response to this situation, this article made a detailed inspection and analysis, with a view to find the Chinese translation of the principle of Han translation. This paper first examines the current status of the use of Chinese names in Korean. As a result, it is found that people do not distinguish between generic names and categories when translating, and there are many versions of the same Chinese proper names in Korean translation. In the following, the author proposes the problem of the way of recording with proper name, that is to say, the traditional way of pronunciation transfer conflicts with the public way of pronunciation conversion. In this regard, this article further explores the hybrid and the boundaries of transliteration and free translation. In other words, if we want to solve this contradiction reasonably and regulate the proper translation of Chinese names, it is futile to confine ourselves only to the mode of transcribing. We should first classify the different names of different types of structures and then According to the type of a specific operational plan. In the end, this thesis analyzes the transliteration of transliteration of Chinese proper names. In this paper, the transliteration of Chinese transliteration foreign names should take into account the foreign language primitives corresponding to the proper name. When translating the transliterated Chinese minorities’ names, reference should be made to China’s relevant Translation and Pinyin language policy.
