Caesar and Brutus have always been the two most controversial people. Since ancient times, those who self-proclaimed themselves as free fighters often respected Brutus and regarded Brutus as a model for “tyranny of tyranny” and “tyranny of tyranny.” But anyone who has seen the Divine Comedy knows that at the lowest level of hell two men were permanently tormented, one being Judas, because he betrayed Christ; the other was Brutus, who betrayed Caesar . Caesar’s death, which did not save the fate of the Republic, provided an excuse for civil war to his successor, Octavian, and his older brother, Anthony. The civil war accelerated the demise of the republican even more, and Rome, once again united by the Octavian, was a naked military dictatorship. However, whenever a public appearance occurs, a chain mail is worn under the purple robe of Octavian. Caesar’s fate, he remembered.
