古典汉诗是中国古代文化中非常有代表性的一种文学形式。把中国古代的优秀诗歌翻译成英语,输出到西方国家,有利于增进这些国家人民对中国的了解。本文作者从译诗之难入手,分析了诗歌翻译家不可缺少诗人气质,然后又从理解和表达两个方面讨论了在具体的翻译过程中,中、西译者各自的优势和不足。最后,作者得出结论:中西合作译汉诗,可以取长补短,更有利于促进中华优秀的古代文化走向世界。
Classical Chinese poetry is a very representative form of literature in ancient Chinese culture. Translating the ancient Chinese poetry into English and exporting it to Western countries will help enhance the understanding of these peoples in China. Starting with the difficulty of translating poems, the author analyzes the indispensable poetic qualities of poetry translators, and then discusses the respective strengths and weaknesses of translators in the process of concrete translation from two aspects of understanding and expression. Finally, the author concludes that the translation of Chinese poems between China and the West can complement each other and help promote the excellent Chinese ancient culture to the world.
