On August 9, the Shandong provincial party committee and provincial government and the Ministry of Public Security held a grand state council in Jinan. The Central Military Commission authorized the Taishan Squadron, Taishan City Detachment, of the Shandong Provincial Fire Brigade, to give a name-named assembly. The meeting was chaired by Jiang Daming, deputy secretary and governor of Shandong Province. Shandong Provincial Party Committee Secretary Jiang Bi Kang Kang, director of the Provincial People’s Congress, Vice Minister of Public Security Liu Jinguo attended the meeting and delivered a speech. PLA General Political Department Lieutenant General Wei Liang read out the order and awarded the flag.
