In the present study, the authors examined the hypothesis that the immunogenicity and protective efficacy of Type III Streptococcus group B (GBS) - tetanus toxoid conjugate vaccine (III-TT) are affected by three variables: 1) the molecular size of the conjugate; (2) the size of the polysaccharide molecule used for the conjugation; and (3) the degree of crosslinking between the polysaccharide and the protein.
