国内不少工厂采用重质焦油作燃料,但因重质焦油粘度大、杂质多、水分高,给焦油输送和雾化燃烧带来很多问题,油枪经常结焦堵塞,换油抢频繁,窑炉温度波动大,能耗高,并且熔窑的温度、压力、换向等均靠人工操作调节,工人劳动强度很大.浙江大学材料系和湖州玻璃厂共同研制成功的“燃重质焦油蓄热式玻璃池窑测量控制系统”,有效地解决了焦油的前处理中存在的一些问题,实现了焦油计量、窑炉温度、换向操作、加料、液面等自控.该成果于1993年12月13日在湖州通过技术鉴定.
