色觉三原色学说揭示了人类颜色视觉的奥秘,是现代视觉生理学的重要组成部分。如果从它最初提出时算起,已有一个多世纪的历史,在科研上有重大进展,则还是近二十多年的事。我国出版的绘画(艺用)色彩学书籍中很少提到它,提到过的也很简略而不够确切。因而美术界对它普遍还比较陌生,它对绘画色彩学所具有的重要意义,至今也缺乏足够的认识。由于没有把色觉三原色学说引入绘画色彩学,没有重视它所提供的色彩的生理学原理,致使现有的绘画色彩学著作、教材中,在一些色彩基础理论的论述上,诸如色彩的对比、补色的确定和补色对比规律等重要的色彩问题,以及有关的科研
