就现代绘画艺术的形式变革而言,它主要体现在绘画的二维平面构形方面,并极力拓展色彩、线条、几何构图的表现力。而它对于绘画介质的极度关注,造就了一种极端风格化的形式自律。这种侧重艺术形式变革与具有实验性质的自律诉求,在秉承形式美学的同时,又极有可能沦落为一种形式化游戏。当然,现代绘画艺术的形式化取向,既是艺术自身发展与艺术功能转变的结果,又是技术冲击下艺术自觉的表现。
