On November 7, 2002, the China Securities Regulatory Commission and the People’s Bank of China jointly issued Interim Measures for the Administration of Domestic Securities Investment by Qualified Foreign Institutional Investors (the Measures) (the Measures), which came into force on December 1. This is yet another important measure for implementing the development strategy of opening to the outside world in the capital market. It is the continuation and expansion of the policy of attracting foreign investment in the securities market in our country and will surely add new impetus to the further development of the securities market in our country.
