The architect hopes to build a structure that is both structurally expressive and earthquake resistant. The design of the pavilion is based on the constant rotation and reversal of a “V” column to create a seemingly random overall space. The resulting shape has obvious advantages in terms of seismic resistance. All the pillars are wrapped in two horizontally extending planes, the ground is enlarged and extended, and the building floats on the grass. The entire building mass is divided into two separate areas by a simple functional partition: the kitchen and the large restaurant. Large restaurant in the free space can double as lecture hall, to meet the multi-purpose use of college needs.
