INTRODUCTION The calculation of pile foundation under the action of horizontal force is usually divided into two cases: elastic pile (elastic foundation) and rigid pile (rigid foundation) according to its actual state. This classification is purely from the perspective of simplifying the calculation. When classified according to this classification, the calculation of rigid piles will likely reduce many of the complicated calculations while still obtaining approximate results that meet practical requirements. The dimensionless solution yields an exact solution with straightforward calculations. This is especially true when used to calculate elastic piles, so that the calculation of elastic piles is no more complicated than the calculation of rigid piles. There seems to be no obvious need to distinguish between elastic and rigid piles. but
