钢琴即兴伴奏是高等师范院校音乐系开设的一门重要的必修课程,它是中小学音乐教师、高职、高专乃至高师钢琴、声乐教师一项重要的教学基本功,是衡量教师教学水平和工作能力高低的重要尺度之一。虽然现在在许多音乐活动中,正规的钢琴伴奏谱已逐渐取代了即兴伴奏,但在实际中小学音乐教学活动中,即兴伴奏用的还是最为普遍,这主要有以下几方面的原因:首先,并非所有的歌曲都有现成的伴奏谱,如许多歌曲集或是各类音乐教材中选用的歌曲常常都没有配置钢琴伴奏,其中还有很多是简谱的。其次,虽然正规的钢琴伴奏谱艺术性较高,但有不少是不带旋律的,还有的织体比较复杂,并不完全适合中小学的音乐教学。第三,一些钢琴基础不太好的学生和部分中小学音乐教师,因为没有良好的钢琴演奏技巧,很难完成正规伴奏谱中的一些技术要求。

Third, some students with poor piano fundamentals and some primary and secondary school music teachers may find it difficult to complete some of the technical requirements of the regular accompaniment spectrum without good piano playing skills.
