Foreword Faced with the oil crisis that has affected the whole world and affecting the entire transport system, the Indonesian government (specifically the Indonesian State-owned Railway) has to take various measures to deal with the energy crisis. The first is to eliminate waste. Second, all modes of transport for similar services must work together to provide economies with economic solutions. Today, the competition between modes of transportation is even more pointless. The real problem is the quality of service provided to the public at a minimum cost. The Indonesian state-owned railways that have long been required to work more closely together can fully prove that such cooperation has immeasurable benefits in the current energy crisis. In addition to inland waterway, which is subject to geographical and commercial conditions, the railroad is one of the transport systems with the lowest energy consumption index.
