莴笋的食用部分是其肥大的花茎,即能凉拌,又能炒食和腌渍,深受广大群众喜爱,是当前解决黑龙江省6月下旬至7月上中旬蔬菜淡季供应的一种主要绿叶蔬菜。为了丰富秋菜种类,和满足腌渍加工的需要,牡丹江农管局科研所园艺研究室经过多年试验和探索,夏播莴笋获得了成功,1984年取得了商品莴笋(除叶去根)亩产4,288斤,平均单株重9两,最高单株重达1.8斤的好收成。与春莴笋(一般亩产2,000—3,000斤)相比,产量提高43—114%。夏播莴笋栽培成败的关键是: 一、选择良种:莴笋夏播时正值高温天气,应选用尖叶型的中、晚熟品种,不能选择圆叶型
