均质地基上坝的强度和抗剪设计理论,已发展到足以应用于实际工程。然而对于某些地基与坝接触的区域具有不同刚度的情况,其应力计算还是相当近似的,有待于进一步发展。但是,对于带有复杂地质条件的非均质地基,如成层地基,坝底直接置于不同刚度的岩体或破裂构造区(断层、错位、大裂隙和裂缝等)的坝的设计问题,尚未得到解决。然而,现代大多数坝是在很复杂的,有时是很不利的地质条件下建造的。如果不彻底研究而疏忽了地质构造对坝的强度和稳定的影响,就有可能导致坝的失事。
The strength of the dam on the homogeneous foundation and the theory of shear resistance have been developed sufficiently for practical engineering. However, for some areas where the foundation is in contact with the dam with different stiffness, the stress calculation is still quite approximate and needs to be further developed. However, for heterogeneous foundations with complex geological conditions, such as stratified foundations, the design of dams directly placed in rock masses with different stiffness or in fractured zones (faults, dislocations, large fractures and cracks, etc.) Not yet solved. However, most modern dams are built under very complex and sometimes unfavorable geological conditions. Failure to thoroughly investigate and neglect the strength and stability of the dam may cause the dam to fail.
