A new study by the Harvard School of Public Health found that optimism can help lower blood lipids, the Daily Mail reported. The study found that middle-aged optimists “good cholesterol ” (HDL, high-density lipoprotein) level is higher. Good cholesterol can reduce the level of “bad cholesterol” (LDL, low density lipoprotein), has a protective effect on the heart. Calm optimism can also reduce triglyceride levels. Triglyceride levels can lead to hardening of the arteries. The results of an earlier study done by Dr. Julia Poy, the new head of research, and colleagues showed that there is a link between optimism and a lower risk of heart disease. So they decided to investigate whether there was an independent association between optimism or pessimism and cholesterol. In the new study, Harvard scientists analyzed the data from the American middle-aged research project. The study of 990 40 to 70-year-old test
