尽管科学技术的发展日新月异,但人类对自身衰老机制的了解仍然知之甚少,甚至连衰老是何时何处在体内发生的都难以预知。众所周知,胚胎早期发育具有一定的程序性。然而,与这种程序性形成鲜明对比的是衰老过程的随机性和不可预测性。衰老机制甚至一度被认为是难以应用实验方法来研究的。最近,美、日专家开始探索应用分子生物学技术研究衰老问题,并取得了一系列可喜的成果。
Despite the rapid development of science and technology, human understanding of the mechanism of aging is still poorly understood. Even when and where aging occurs in the body is unpredictable.
