Sedimentary or Carlin-type gold deposits are believed to have been produced in shallow parts of hydrothermal systems in recent years. Gold is extracted from sedimentary rock sequences by atmospheric hydrothermal fluids. Instead, gold is believed to be provided by magmatic hydrothermal fluids and then deposited around base metal and precious metal mines, which are several kilometers from the mother intrusion. Our model is supported by the Stone Dragon Gate in eastern Malaysia, Bingham, Utah, and other gold deposits, as well as the geology, geochronology and mineralization observations of the three major gold belts in Nevada. The model proposed by the author is of great significance for exploration and can be tested.
