在长期的革命战争中,邓小平不仅直接领导、参与了大量的部队文化工作实践活动,还对文化工作的一系列重大理论问题进行研究,形成了丰富的文化工作思想,主要体现在:文化工作是为政治、军事服务的,要加强对敌的文化斗争;文化工作是战斗力的重要源泉,要具有强烈的政治性、丰满的现实性和生动的艺术性;文化工作是一种创造性劳动,要大力加强对文化工作的组织领导和队伍建设等诸多方面。在新的历史形势下,认真研究和总结邓小平新民主主义革命时期部队文化工作思想,对于我们大力推进军队思想政治建设,促进部队全面建设又好又快发展,具有十分重要的意义。
