1994年12月29日,全国人大常委会通过了《中华人民共和国监狱法》(以下简称《监狱法》)。该法的颁行,是中国刑事法制建设的一件大事,可庆可贺。本文拟对该法颁行的历史背景及主要特点作以概述,以推动该法的宣传和研讨。
On December 29, 1994, the NPC Standing Committee passed the Prisons Law of the People’s Republic of China (hereinafter referred to as the “Prisons Law”). The enactment of this act is a major event in the construction of criminal law in China and can celebrate. This article intends to outline the historical background and the main features of the enactment of the law so as to promote the publicity and discussion of the law.
