信仰对社会与个体的发展具有重要的价值导向作用,是社会发展与个体发展的精神动力,也是社会整合与控制的思想文化武器。当代中国社会信仰危机是一个可经验到的事实,其主要原因是由于对马克思主义意识形态的宣传教育手段与形式的落后、市场经济对人们生活的宰制以及不同文化的交融与冲突,导致了社会信仰的危机。社会主义核心价值体系是社会信仰体系建构的主要内容与形式,它对消解社会信仰危机起着重要的作用。
