IntroductionColon cancer is currently the third most common cancer and cause of cancer-related deaths in the United States. Approximately 35–55％ of patients with colorectal cancer present with metastatic disease; of these, 10–20％ of patients have resectable disease, with the liver being the most common site of metastasis (1).
