规模与苏州这个城市十分相称的苏州外事办公楼座落在苏州南市区的竹辉路上,宽银幕式的世界地图立面吸引着众多的过往行人,这世界地图是抽象的。环抱状的总体打破了昔日衙门的威势,给人以一种亲近的感觉,这意义同样是抽象的,它标志着一种现代的文明,外事本身应该是一种向世界的贴近。 这是本人年余多日本生活归来后的第一件作品,而且是建设单位直接派车从码头接回家后马上动手的一个方案,回顾当时头脑中还是一片日本的景象,这么短的时间里要扭转“时差”,着实不易,好在我带去日本的课题是“建筑设计中传统内涵的提炼和气质的塑造”,当时余意未尽,正好结合实践,尝试一番,于是就这样立了“意”。在后来设计中本人也自以为刻意去这么做了,但最终究竟有没有苏州传统的内涵和气质?只能由世人去评说了。 这里,我的解释如下: 适度的比例和轻快的体姿使其孕育在中国南方古城的文化之中;白、灰相间的色彩和简中有繁的对比带来了一派素雅和谐的气氛; 绿化向建筑充分的渗透以及夸张的廊檐灰空间应该说是中国传统建筑特征的再
