《钻探工艺计算尺》（以下简称“工艺尺”）是用于机械岩心钻探及工艺施工方面的一种简单计算工具。它可以算出孔内在任意回次下不同规格、不同单位重量的钻具总重量（包括计算钻具在不同比重的冲洗液中或在斜孔中的重量）及提升阻力等。在钻进工艺方面，对各种钻进参数，如压力、转速、冲洗液量、投砂量的选择；泥浆、脲醛树脂（包括酸的用量、稀释）等的用量计算；回次效率、台时效率、马力与千瓦、公制与英制、圆面积、圆柱体积等的换算与计算，以及常用的三角函数等共有三十多项用处。现将《工艺尺》的结构、原理、主要用途的使用方法等简介如下。
