1987年,作为《中国商检》杂志的增刊,《检验检疫科学》的前身《〈中国商检〉科技专刊》面世,并于1991年经国家新闻出版署批准,以《现代商检科技》的刊名正式创刊出版。随着检验检疫科学研究事业的不断发展壮大,科研成果和论文不断增多,我国检验检疫系统惟一的综合性科技类专业刊物《检验检疫科学》杂志于1999年应运而生,成为传播检验检疫理论,推广科研成果,交流检验检疫执法监管经验的一个重要交流基地和展示平台。
