The intelligent fuzzy control technology of 180kA aluminum smelter and the fuzzy expert system of aluminum reduction cell jointly developed by North China University of Technology, Guizhou Aluminum Plant and Guiyang Al-Mg Design and Research Institute passed the appraisal of experts on April 8, 1997. The actual production process of aluminum reduction cell is difficult to control because of the complicated physical and chemical reaction inside the electrolytic cell. The interference of various external conditions aggravates the fluctuation and change of the environment.
