仙游县园庄公社大埔大队一九六二年创办了茶场,现有茶园面积330亩。近几年来,在上级党委的正确领导下,大队党支部对荼场加强了领导,大胆应用先进的科学技术,使茶叶生产迅速得到恢复发展。一九七七年对失管的低产茶园进行了台刈、重修剪更新改造,复壮树冠面貌,获得增产效果。一九七八年产茶近五十担,比七六年翻一番多。其中厝后埔一片八点七亩未老先衰茶园,一九七七年改造,一九七八年生产干茶2145斤,
