Studied the effectiveness and safety of focused ultrasound in the treatment of persistent high-risk HPV infection in the cervix. Ninety cases of high risk HPV infection were divided into three groups randomly (30 in each group) by means of follow-up study. Focused ultrasound, interferon therapy and sham irradiation were respectively used. Three months after treatment, 6 Month to detect the remission rate, negative rate and inefficiency in each group. The results showed that at 3 months after treatment, the rate of negative conversion in the focused ultrasound group was 53.3%, and the negative conversion rate in the interferon group was 48.3%. The negative conversion rate in the sham irradiation group was 31.0% (P <0.05). At 6 months after treatment, the rate of negative conversion in the focused ultrasound group was 86.2%, that in the interferon group was 79.3%, and that in the sham irradiation group was 53.6%. Compared with the sham irradiation group, both focused ultrasound and interferon could significantly reduce the HPV titer in patients with high-risk HPV infection (P <0.05). There was no significant difference between the two groups in the effect of focused ultrasound and interferon (P> 0.05). This concludes that focused ultrasound can safely and effectively control the persistent infection of high-risk cervical type HPV.
