中国汽车业过去也有过联合重组的经历,但特定的时代背景,决定了那时的联合重组只能是通过行政性命令、以行政区域来划定,是一个简单的加法重叠。所谓重组实际上就是重复投资、盲目铺摊子上项目,造成资源浪费、低层次恶性竞争。而三大集团最近正在进行的一系列重组则体现了与过去完全不一样的特点。首先,这是一次市场资源的重组,是一次市场行为,像一汽集团与天汽集团间的重组。其次,这是一次有跨国公司参与的联合重组,像美国通用汽车公司以注入资本的方式进入上汽五菱顶目。而东风汽车公司与雷诺·日产集团的联合重组则更是一个中国汽车史上最大的中外联合重组顶目,其最大的好处就是以互相融入的方式求得在国际竞争中的利益。可以这么说,已经开始的这轮重组是中国汽车业最后的机会。

Its greatest benefit is to seek the interests in international competition by means of mutual integration. It can be said that this round of restructuring has begun is the last chance for the Chinese auto industry.
