Introduction The purpose of this report is to develop a cathodic grounded traveling wave tube for a phased array radar with a gated electron gun. The tube is designed to have a peak output of 100 kW and a gain of 13 dB in the 1240 to 1340 MHz band. This tube must have minimum phase sensitivity for high-frequency excitation or supply voltage changes. The tube uses a ring-rod interaction circuit and a gate-controlled electron gun with a flow conductivity of 5 x 10 ~ (-6).
