本书是华东师大比较教育研究所杜殿坤教授承担的国家教委下达的《我国面向21世纪的九年义务教育办学模式之实验研究》课题的成果.课题自批准以来,已经在30多所中、小学进行了多年的实验研究和教改探索.课题负责人先后与多所学校建立了联系,宗旨是“在教育理论指导下,从我国实际出发,进行扎扎实实的实践研究”.30多所学校确实进行了大量工作.其共同特点是:各校校长科研意识强,领导得力,骨干教师水平高,选题有创新性和超前性,研究取得了丰硕成果,学校的社会声望提高,已成为在当地、省、市及全国闻名的学校.从办学模式说,这些学校有公办学校、民公办助学校、公办民助学校、股份制学校、企业资助学校、私立学校等.从课题性质说,各校都选择了改革力度大的主攻课题(“突破口”),在某个领域里有很大建树,其理论意义和实践价值颇高.近几年来,综合性和整体性更大、改革力度更强的新的研究课题相继增加,显示出“面向未来”的取向更明显.
