Epidemic hemorrhagic fever (E.H.F) has been named as “Hemorrhagic Fever Renal Syndrome” by the WHO, but the domestic decision still uses the original name of “Epidemic Haemorrhagic Fever.” For more than 40 years of efforts on this disease pathogen by virologists, finally made a breakthrough. After the first isolation of Hantaan virus by North Korea like Lee Ho-kwang in 1978, China also isolated the virus from Apodemus agrarius and human lung cancer cell line A-549 in 1982. Electron microscopy and biochemical identification belong to a new species of the Bunya virus (BunyaViridae). At present, viruses isolated from different mouse species in different regions at home and abroad are compared with each other to prove that there may be different types of viruses that have one-way cross-reactions with each other. Gadjusek’s suggestion, called muroid viribae, has not been well established.
