This paper mainly focuses on the change of media culture in wartime Shanghai and focuses on the influence of Japanese imperialism on the change of media culture in China. According to the relationship between the pre-war National Government and the privately owned newspapers in Shanghai and its impact on the mobilization of the KMT government, this paper focuses on the direct control by the Japanese invaders and Wang’s puppet government on the press in Shanghai and the suppression of the people in the occupied areas following the outbreak of the Pacific War Thought and speech. Therefore, the propaganda made after the wartime media culture in Shanghai was transformed was neither trusted by the Chinese people nor could it be coordinated with the wartime mobilization by the Wang pseudo government, but even less capable of supporting the Japanese imperialists’ policy of aggressive war.
