土鸡又名草鸡、本地鸡,是指在传统农业生产条件下,当地长期饲养的地方品种,多数为肉蛋兼用。分布于阿坝州半农半牧区县的藏羌鸡(本地土鸡),性野而敏捷,喜飞高处牺息,具有独特的外貌特征;觅食性强,肉质细嫩,香味浓郁,抗病力强,耐粗放管理,对恶劣的自然环境有良好的适应性。随着生活水平的普遍提高,人们对肉、蛋的需求以追求风味、野味、回归自然为时尚。土鸡及土鸡蛋的市场需求量越来越大,养殖土鸡前景广阔。随着阿坝州旅游业的快速发展,土鸡养殖产业可与旅游产业有机结合,既可饱游客口福也可提高阿坝州土鸡的知名度,促进土鸡养殖产业适度规模发展,为农牧民致富开辟新的途径。本文针对阿坝州实际,根据自己长期的实践经验,提出了土鸡养殖业可行性的发展对策措施。
