当代的市场营销已经超越了“请消费者注意”的观念,进而开始强调“请注意消费者”,因为消费者市场愈来愈显示出其复杂和多元的特征。在美国的消费者市场中有2.6亿消费者,每年消费价值上万亿美元的商品和服务,使其成为世界上最吸引人的消费者市场之一。展望21世纪,相关的“市场世代”已逐步被辨识出来,其中X一代和Y一代由于其人数众多,个性特别,更为重要的是由于他们作为年轻消费者群将成为21世纪的主力而特别引人注目。
Contemporary marketing has gone beyond the notion of “consumer attention,” and begins to emphasize “pay attention to consumers,” as the consumer market increasingly shows its complex and diverse character. With 260 million consumers in the U.S. consumer market, billions of billions of dollars worth of goods and services are consumed annually, making it one of the most attractive consumer markets in the world. Looking forward to the 21st century, the relevant “market generations” have been gradually identified. Among them, Generation X and Generation Y are particularly distinguished by their large population, special personality and, more importantly, their special role as young consumers as the main force of the 21st century striking.
