一、概述国际上的商用通信卫星由小到大、由单一的透明转发到复杂的处理分发,已经形成了较有系统的常规通信、移动通信、电视直播、音频直播及宽带多媒体等商用通信卫星系列。自1998年世广国际有限公司(World-Space)发射第一颗音频广播卫星(非洲星)起,推出了具有很强市场竞争力的卫星数字音频与多媒体广播系统。开创了卫星数字广播新纪元,为21世纪的广播事业带来了革命性的变化。世广卫星数字音频与多媒体广播系统使用三颗同步轨道卫星,即非洲星(21°E)、亚洲星(105°E)和美洲星(95°W)。该系统可直接向轻巧、便携的个体接收机传送高质量的声音、数据、图像等多媒体信息。我国的国际广播电台就在该系统内有一套试播节目。
