Objective To understand the current situation of injury among middle and high school students in Shaoxing and to explore the impact of psychosocial factors on the injury of middle and high school students so as to provide the basis for the prevention and control of injuries. Methods A cluster of 1 university, 2 high schools and 2 junior high schools in Shaoxing was selected as the research object. Based on the baseline survey, 3 follow-up surveys were prospectively conducted to complete the cohort of 1a. A self-administered questionnaire was used to collect demographic variables and the incidence of various injuries. Simultaneous use of “sub-health multi-dimensional assessment questionnaire” to assess the mental health of adolescents. Results The incidence of injury among young people in Shaoxing City was 76.2%. The incidence of male injuries was higher than that of women (χ2 = 13.850, P <0.01). Multivariate analysis showed that adolescents with light learning burden had a lower risk of accidental injury than those with a heavier burden of learning. Adolescents with subhealthy status were 2.472 (1.477 ~ 4.137) times more likely to be in health status. Conclusions The incidence of injuries among adolescents is high, learning burden and sub-health status may be better predict injury.
