The anomalous geothermal in the South China Sea is obviously related to the main tectonic fault zone and hydrothermal / magmatism activities. An SN-low heat flux anomaly parallel to the Manila Trench in the east resulted from the subduction of the South China Sea shell over Luzon Island. The geothermal field of the Nansha Trough and its southern continental margin is rather complicated. The Zengmu Basin in the south is a significant high geothermal anomaly that has its origins in the young tectonic extension and its mantle heat flux up to the mantle heat flux in the central oceanic oceanic crust. The southwest sub-basin is also a high geothermal anomaly area. Although the basin was formed earlier, it is related to the young structure extension. The analysis results of heat flow data show that the NE-trending high-heat flux anomalous zone formed by the western margin of the South China Sea central basin, the southwestern sub-basin and the Zengmu basin may be a large modern structural tensioning belt.
